Getting Mason to eat fruits and vegetables was the easy part but as I started to introduce him to meat it became a battle. I found it heard to cook and when I puréed it the meat was very chewy and hard to swallow for him. I tried a couple of combinations of vegetables and cooking methods and this one is definitely the winner. The combination of sweet potato and carrots provides the perfect balance of sweetness, and it was also a taste that Mason was very use too. The kale provided the dish more nutrients. And of course the organic grain fed chicken was the main ingredient.
1 piece of organic chicken, cubed
1 sweet potato, cubed
2 carrots, cubed
5 pieces of kale leaves (steams removed)
1 cup of chicken stock
1 cups of water
1. In a pot take the liquids, chicken, sweet potato, carrots and bring it to a boil
2. Simmer for 2 hours (at medium-low heat) and than add the kale leaves and let everything cook for another 15 minutes.
3. Let the stew cool to room temperature than blend everything together and enjoy
