ski bunny

Who said you can't be fashionable on the slopes...well for a couple of years now Stella McCartney has given all fashionistas a calling with her collaboration for Adidas. For someone like me who is nonathletic; Stella's sportswear line always give me motivation to try. And these snow pants/overalls from her most recent winter collection encouraged me to go down the hill totally cool and knowing what I was doing (LOL).
Another thing that I hate about ski gear are the goggles. I hate the way they leave that mark on your cheeks. I tried very hard to find something different, and came across these I SKI sunglasses. Okay, they weren't the most ideal goggles because they are actually sunglasses, but I just couldn't resist myself. I SKI were developed in the 70s promoting all weather sunglasses which filters light and improves contrast. These particular ones has leather trimming on the side for better protection. But it was the vintage style of that sold me over all of the other styles.
I hope for your next ski trip you guys can take something away from this post...

nighty nite

Back in Toronto and I am so happy to see my bed again. For some reason no matter where I stay and how luxurious or dingy the place is, its never the same as sleeping in your own bed. Over all it was a great weekend, but wished we had more real snow on the slopes (instead of ice).
These pics were take from our first night at the cabin while we were getting settled. Honestly if it wasn't so cold I would wear this outfit out! I love the simplicity of a silk slip paired with a cozy knit sweater. It makes me want to run through a wheat field on a warm spring day with the sun beaming on my face. Kind of like a Free People catalog photo shoot...hehehe. Oh well guess I have to wait a few more months for this bohemian life style.

Outfit: Cardigan (Theory), Silk Slip (Wilfred), Fur Hat (Rudsak), Boots (Vintage)

black and pink

Yesterday I posted some pics of Anna Del Russo in her outfits paired with some amazing hats, for Paris Fashion Week. I love wearing hats even when I am having a great hair day; it really accentuate a cute outfit. Since I was really inspired I decided to pull out my funkiest hat. My Claudia Schulz hat was the perfect pairing to my casual look. My take on the sport trend with a twist. Going to cut this short cause I have to go back to packing for my ski weekend. Hope everyone has an amazing weekend!

Outfit: Jacket (Roots), Sweater (J.Crew), Faux Leather Leggings (H&M), Boots (Christian Louboutin), Hat (Claudia Schulz), Ring (Kenneth Jay Lane)

goo goo gaa gaa for hats

source: style.com

Sorry for my recent absence; I've been busy with a long awaited project that needed my full attention. And the fact that I kind of been uninspired with the cold weather (however I can't complain since we haven't had any major snow storms yet) to get out of my cashmere sweats and Sorel boots. But when I am in a fashion rut I always rely on style.com to set me free from my dungeon. So as I was flipping through the pictures from blogger Tommy Ton on the site I can across pictures of Ms. Anna Dello Russo and all of her amazing outfits from Paris Couture week. I was especially intrigued with her parings of hats with the ensembles. These looks has inspired me for my next (and very overdue) outfit post featuring a hat and maybe even a DIY.
Stay tuned...

inductions

Some of my new purchases to ring in the new year with...
1. Balenciaga heels- couldn't resist the temptation when I saw them on sale at Holts; like I really needed a pair of red python heels inducted into my shoe collection...oh well you only live once!
2. H&M foral pant suit- when I first saw this it remind me so much of the one from the Celine Resort 2012 collection, so I jumped to the change to get it to incorporate it into my spring closet
3. Cole Haan loafers- my eyes were originally on another pair of loafers, but when I tried on these Cole Haan ones on (with the Nike Air support) I had to ditch the original plan and get these instead.

Happy Hump Day!

an insta new year

Last night we said good bye to 2011 with some great friends, an amazing home cooked meal, lots of pink Veuve bubbly and a great board game. It was the most relaxing way of ringing the new year. As usual I never make new year resolutions; I have always believed that if there is something that you want to change about yourself it should be done right away. There is no need to have a specific day to tell you to better yourself. So I hope everyone an amazing 2012...thanks for all of the support and there is a lot more to come.
