This past weekend we went to The Saint Tavern (which I have been dying to try since it has opened) for some real food made for any man that is ready for a chow down. This upscale pub located on Ossington Avenue has a very cool feel about it, with its big leather booths and simple decor. We started off our meal with perogies which was stuffed with duck confit and served on top a cloud of creme fraiche. The perogies were amazing, probably one of the best versions I have every had; I even contemplated on getting another order (but my waistline was very against it...so I listened to the boss and decided against it). Than we got the mixed grill as our main to share, served in a huge cast iron skillet filled with a mountain full of meat. I mean there was every animal that you can think of on the plate; fried pork chops, t-bone steak, homemade sausages (not good at all, it was tasteless), bone marrow (very small portion was not happy about it) and of course fried onion rings and grilled veggies to healthify the meal (NOT!). Overall the meal was good and the prices were very reasonable. Ladies if you want to impress a guy and show him that you are not just a salad muncher than take him here cause he will be happy with the food and impressed with your appetite.
