I have always been a big fan of Ms Lopez, and now you can look like her...well kind of. She is following in Lauren Conrad's footsteps and starting a high quality low price line with the retailer Kohl's. I recently previewed the new line and I have to say I'm not really impressed! The faux fur on a knit sweater was done too many times already, and it is something that we should leave in the pass. Also the strapless full piece jersey jumper as part of your Fall line...come on Jennifer you would never do that to yourself...why are you doing it to us?! Well at least her commercial for her collaboration redeems herself to me (but she should have worn something from her line at least in the commercial...show some love to your own creations!!!). But overall the commercial gets 2 thumbs up and the new line gets 2 thumbs down. Sorry Jenny from the block, please don't hurt me.

Check out the whole collection here

prim things- august

1. I finally had to cave and try the new chocolate Cheerios this month! I am a huge chocolate lover but I hate cereal for breakfast. I never understood how some grains and milk can be satisfying after a long night of dreaming of savory foods. But I bought it anyways, and substituted as a midnight treat that I don't feel guilty about eating.
2. I am a very big stationary person. I love buying post cards and sending it to my friends when I am on vacation. Or even buying nice "Thank You" cards to send to my clients. This month when I was walking around Chapters I found some cool stuff in their stationary department. First was this cool pen that supposedly lasts for 7 years (we will see about that), and I also found this note pad (when I first saw it I killed myself laughing in the middle of the store) called the "Bitch Citation". Anyways when I brought it home the bf had a field day with it, and it became his favorite toy. He started to use them like he was a parking officer giving me a ticket every time I acted out...lol! I wasn't pleased about that....
3. August is the best time for magazines; as I call it my Fall fashion bible time. I usually buy every fashion magazine in the month of August and look through all of them to start planning my budget for my new closet. I write little notes on the pages where I find things I want to buy or outfits that I plan to wear. I cannot wait for Fall shopping.

Spent my Sunday with some of my fav people; had brunch and than went to the AGO to explore the Abstract exhibit imported from MoMA. There was also a great exhibit there by Haute Culture General Idea, where they showcased this huge metal purse that I had to show you guys...how cool is it?
Hope everyone had a great weekend!

Had my usual mother and daughter day today, and of course did some shopping. I got my hands on these amazing riding boots from Ferragamo; the leather is sooo soft and sexy.
You be surprised what a lil cleaning of the closet can get you. Its amazing how old pieces become treasures when you reconnect with them again. For me it was these shorts that were stuck at the back of my closet. I got these Rachel Roy shorts last summer and I cannot believe I lived with out them this whole summer.

Outfit: Top (Michael Kors), Shorts (Rachel Roy), Sandals (Stuart Weitzman), Purse (Louis Vuitton), Sunglasses (Chole), Necklace (Banana Republic and BCBG), Belt (Forever 21)

chunk the funk at high tea

Last Sunday afternoon (can't believe its Friday already...this week flew by) went to the Windsor Arms Hotel to take in part some high tea action. We were treated with some amazing scons, tea sandwiches and clotted cream (my most favorite thing in the world). High tea attire is usually a sweet semi-formal tea dress (like the nice one that my dear friend Christina had on). I on the other hand decided to go for a combination of funky and chic, by pairing a plain white silk tank with my new gold chunky necklace that I got at Dana Jordon (on sale the day before).

Outfit: Tank (eighty sixty), Necklace (Dana Jordon)

Terry Richardson is an amazing photographer; his work is racy and never fails to surprise or shock you. David Webb's jewelry on the other hand is jaw dropping gorgeous, glamorous and luxurious. And this campaign equals a perfect combination of prim and pimp for me!

another lil black dress

I wore this stylestalker dress last night chilling at the Thompson Hotel. Stylestalker has become one of my fav brands recently. Its creation reminds me of a combination of young Hollywood, and updated 70's hippie boho vibe. I love the simplicity of the front of this dress and with the combination of the sexy back it pulls the whole look together. I was also wearing my first bday present of this year. Can you figure out what it is? Its the orange Hermes Click H Narrow bracelet. Thanks to my amazing mom for this amazing present and its even so much better cause my birthday is still a month and half away.
Hope everyone has an amazing weekend!!!

Outfit; Dress (stylestalker), Shoes (Stuart Weitzman), Earrings (Vintage Chanel), Bracelet (top 2 gifted, Pandora and Hermes)

Alexander McQueen Fall 2011 RTW

Source: Style.com

It seems like this year it will be an Indian Summer for everyone...but it doesn't mean that we cannot admire the beautiful clothing that will be coming out this Fall.
One of the RTW collections that I have been going gaga over is Alexander McQueen's Fall gowns. I have to say that Sarah Burton has been doing a great job taking over such a tough task of continuing the brand after the death of McQueen (RIP). But she is defiantly the women for the job as she knows how to capture the essence of what Alexander McQueen portrays; a little bit of craziness and madness but forward thinking and always futuristic designs.
If I was getting married this year the first gown is exactly what I would be walking down the aisle wearing...no doubt about it!!!

country side

This past long weekend we went up north to Muskoka with one of our most fav couple! We all had a blast and it was defiantly another weekend to remember. The only bad thing about this weekend was that I lost my camera charger and couldn't find a replacement before we started our trek up north. So we had to resort to the use of our camera on the berry. Will be posting some more random pics from the weekend later...stay tuned!
