idealist skin

As an Asian girl we have it very easy when it comes to our beauty regime, except for when you are an Asian girl like me who likes to tan. Asian skin tones usually pron to brown spots from being under the sun. I have tried many products like brighters, tinted moisturizers, and even whiting creams to help with my uneven skin tone, and nothing made a difference. So when I heard of Estee Lauder's Even Skin Tone Illuminator I wanted to try it right away. I have now used the product for almost a month and I have seen the dry spots disappear, the blochiness of my cheeks evened out, and even the brown spots minimized. This is a great product and I don't just recommend it to Asian skin but any skin types that deal with the same issues as myself.
Happy Tuesday!!!

till death do us part

Finally wedding season is over for me! Don't get me wrong I love being apart of the beginning of a couples journey, but I really want my weekends back. Since most of the weddings we have attended has the same group of friends; recycling dresses or a look is not an option. This outfit started off with the hair; I was a little tired of always having my hair down and since the the weather has been super hot it was the best way to prevent myself from melting. Picking the dress was easy...I have had this dress for many years when I bought it my first time in Italy. The webbed design of the top of the dress was able to shine without my hair covering it. Its my favorite little black dress.
Hope everyone had an amazing weekend!!!

three things

This month its all about:
1. Versace: I love how they are making a come back, first it was joining forces with Christopher Kane for an accessories line, now they have teamed up with H&M (properly the most well know clothing chain). So far these pieces for H&M looks amazing, can't wait to get my hands on some of the pieces.
2. Mojito: when its summer time all I want to do is lounge and a perfectly made Mojito is the best companion to lounge with. So here is my simple Mojito recipe that anyone can perfect.
3. Fall trend: I know no one wants to think about Fall fashion right now but in the fashion sphere they are already promoting what will be hitting the stores soon, right now. So a trend to look out for are curved hems. Also a great DIY project to update an old jacket you have.

imagine that

Recently I have found that putting outfits together can be difficult when all you want to wear is a tee and a pair of jean shorts on a hot sunny day. So to get my creative juices flowing I have been putting outfits together with themes behind them. This is my wrestle mania/super women look...lol
Not only do I never want to dress up during the summer I also go crazy and shop a lot. For example this Celine is the third purse I have bought in the past 2 months. How can you so no to something so simple and that can go from work to grocery shopping....its a must have!

Outfit: Tank (Forever21), Sports Bra (Lululemon), Pants (Zara), Belt (Hermes), Bracelet (ASOS), Watch (Cartier), Purse (Celine)

congrats to vanni and amanda

Last weekend we attended another one of our friend's wedding; Vanni and Amanda. It was a beautiful and uber hip ceremony. The whole celebration perfectly described their relationship and their love for each other! It was perfect expect that it was probably one of the hottest weekends we had this summer. So I opted to go for a loose fitting dress for the wedding and this BB Dakota dress was a perfect fit. The colours and flower pattern first drew me to the dress, but the bias cut at the bottom of the dress defiantly completed the whole look and made me choose it.

hi-vis yellow

Last nite went down to the SkyDome and watched the Yankee and Blue Jay game. It was a great game cause again the Jays killed the Yankees...;)
A few weeks ago when I was at Michael Kors I saw these shoes from their pre-fall collection and I totally fell in love. I loved them so much that I bought them in beige suede (seen worn above) and black leather. So as I was getting ready to go to the game yesterday; I decided to make the shoes my focal point and built my outfit around the shoes. Its always a faster way to put an outfit together when you have a beginning. However the bf did get a little frustrated when he was watching me tornado through our closet to find that outfit.

Outfit: Top (H&M), Shorts with suspenders (Forever 21), Shoes (Michael Kors), Purse (Vintage Celine), Rings (YSL, Kenneth Jay Lane, gifted)

festival wear

This pass weekend the girls and I took a trip to Blue Mountain and took part in our friend's Rib/Chili festival. We soaked up some good food, booze and lots of sun. And to match the occasion I put together an outfit that interprets my version of a perfect festival outfit that's comfy and cute. The kimono adds a cool touch to the look and it also acts as a cover up too keep you from the cool breeze and your skin from burning to a crisp. Hope you guys all had a great weekend!

Outfit: Kimono (bought at a Chinese market in China), Top (Grey Ant), Shorts (Forever 21), Sandals (Browns), Fringe Bag (Vintage), Rings (House of Harlow, YSL and gifted)

DIY: beach coverall

Too all of mine American friends Happy 4th of July. Even though us Canadians had our long weekend start on Friday and end on Sunday; I decided to extend my long weekend to Monday to celebrate an extra day. So today took advantage of my pool and balcony for some sun worshiping. Now it comes to an end and  tomorrow; back to the grind.
I love being by the beach or pool running around in my bikini. But what goes hand in hand with a great bikini is a great cover up. I collect them like I collect bikinis. This one that I am wearing can be easily made and a great DIY project. I took an old shirt (preferably a men's shirt from your bf's closet...obv. not one he likes...lol) cut off the sleeves at the seam and than throw it in the wash. By throwing it in the wash it will make the cut sleeves look fringed and vintage. And vola you have a perfect boho chic beach cover up!

Outfit: Cover up (DIY), Bikini top and bottom (Victoria Secret and H&M), Straw Fedora (Holt Renfrew)

congrats to rev and adam

To start off this long weekend one of my good friends got married to the man of her dreams. So taking this opportunity I would just like to wish my baby Rev (who I cannot believe is someone's wife now) a wonderful future with her new and wonderful husband Adam. I love you guys!
The second best thing about the wedding was my amazing Lipsy London dress (hehehehe). When I first saw it the silk, floral and animal print was what drew me in, but the best part of the dress is from the waist down. I love how this dress gives you the feeling that you are wearing a short dress that shows off your legs from the front. But from the back it feels like you are wearing a long gown with the train flowing behind you (the train wasn't easy to wear as I kept stepping on it all night).
Hoping everyone is having a great long weekend!

Outfit: Dress (Lipsy London), Shoes (Valentino), Clutch (Fendi), Belt (Reiss)
