Toronto Fashion Week Day 1

This stylish girl who sat beside us at the Pink Tarten show had the most amazing snake ring...had to share it with you guys.

Picture opp with the real life Ken dolls...which Ken is your dream doll?

This LGFW they had a section set up for guests after the shows to be able to purchase the items right from the runway by scanning the bar-codes on the tags...very cool concept.

At the bar area chilling in between the shows...and of course a drink or two

My fashion week started off on Tuesday where Deb and I went to see some amazing shows. It was a great kick off to the event, even though we were both extremely tired.

Outfit: Fur and Leather Jacket (Vintage, bought in China), Shirt (Joe Fresh), Lace Shorts (TopShop), Shoes (Christian Louboutin), Belt (Hermes), Necklace (Top to bottom: BCBG, Kenneth Lane), Purse (Gucci)

just another monday

Just another Monday show casing some of the new goodies I have purchased in the past few weeks. First lets start with these amazing Valentino peek-a-boo bow pumps; are they not the most amazing things you have ever seen??? When I first saw them they took my breath away...hehehe...I know I am shoe crazy! Nude shoes is a must have investment for your closet, not just for this season but as a life long staple. And here is a little secret, wearing nude heels makes your legs look extra long and lean.
These cheetah pants are from H&M and a bargain as they were only $10...who can say no to that! And lastly the new necklace was an impulse purchase from BCBG, as I was very upset at the store when I couldn't find a dress to buy. So I had to walk out of the store with something.
This week is Toronto Fashion week and again I am excited to be taking part of it. I will be attending a few shows (Pink Tarten and Joe Fresh to name a few) tomorrow and all week, so stay tuned for all of the updates.

Outfit: Jacket (Mendocino), Bustier (La Perla), Pants (H&M), Shoes (Valentino), Necklace (BCBG)

DIY: Sleeveless Trench

When I did this post, one of the jackets showcased in the pics totally caught my attention. I first tried to look for it on online (and found some great choices), but than I had a moment and decided to turn it into an DIY project. I took an old trench that I never really wear anymore and detached the sleeves (you can take any kind of trench and do this). The original sleeves had trimmings with buttons which I turned into epaulets; if you don't have that on your sleeve cuff than cut the fabric from the sleeves itself to make it into epaulets. Then I paired it by wearing it over a black coat to get the two toned look. Everyone has a black blazer or leather jacket so its not hard to finish the look. Now for the piece de resistance...

Outfit: Sleeveless Trench (DIY), Jacket (Helmut Lang), Leggings (American Apparel), Shoes (Russell & Bromley), Purse (Gucci), Belt (Halston), Sunglasses (Chole)

stuck in the middle with you

Crazy busy day today but I managed to convenience the boy to take these pics before we went to get a quick bite. I had to take advantage of the warm weather and it was so nice to see the sun out later in the day. Great start to the weekend!
Oh and this Fendi bag is a true treasure. It was given to me by one of my mom's dearest friends. So why is this a treasure??? Well this over sized clutch is one of Fendi's hand bag collection from the 70's, so it is super delicate and an originally vintage. I am so lucky to have this one of a kind piece part of my wardrobe.

Outfit: Vest (Theory), Top (Zara), Pants (Maggie Ward Co), Trench (H&M), Shoes (Stuart Weitzman), Purse (Vintage Fendi), Necklace (Miss Selfridges), Belt (WESC), Sunglasses (Chole)

three things

Lately I have been extremely obsessed with wear my many hats out, probably because I am lazy to do my hair...but most likely because it adds a different element to my look.

This month Starbuck's re-branded themselves and introduced a new logo and treats. Of course I had to try all of the mini treats, and I narrowed it down to these three. Btw the Red Velvet Whoopie Pie is too die for and the best!

Spring is all about colour blocking with bright colours with your clothing. Since I have been dying to do some redecorating to my flat I decided to add the colour blocking element with these two pieces of art to my very white dining area.

In order to keep things interesting you will always have to keep reinventing yourself. So I decided to incorporate a new concept into my blog, and the end result is what you see above. I am inspired by so many things everyday, which gave me an idea to show you what my of the moment favorite things are every month. It will range from interior design, food, fashion, music, art, culture, etc. So I hope you guys enjoy it.
P.S. I just want to take this time to send my love to all the people in Japan who is suffering right now from such a tragedy. All of our hearts goes out to you guys!

dressing for success

This week started off extremely claim and relaxing, than as the work week went on my days started to become busier and busier. I have been juggling two big projects at the same time and it has been hitting me in the face unsuspectingly. I came home today totally beat and tired, its sad to say but I feel old because instead of going to my dear friend's house party I am now in bed half asleep with body pains. I am so sorry I missed the party baby...so if you are reading this I love you and will make it up to you!!!
Hope you guys all have a great weekend!
