I just can't take it off...

Lately I haven't been able to take off my hats. I have found that all of my outfits look a little better with an added hat; plus I have been extremely board of my hair and I don't know what to do with it. I really want to cut my hair off and go short but I'm a lil too chicken about it. I think having that mushroom hair cut as a lil kid really traumatized me to go short. So any suggestions?
If you follow me on twitter you know that I will be setting up my shop soon...finally I will be show casing some of my treasures that you guys can get your hands on. You will be able to purchase from my closet a  collection of clothing and accessories; so keep your eyes out for my shop the closet.
Happy Sunday!

2011 Spring Trends to DIE 4

source: style.com

Looking at all of the outfits from the spring/summer 2011 ready to wear runway shows, the above are my fav trends that were on the runway. These are also trends that can be easily incorporated into your wardrobe even if you are on a budget.
The first trend that is one of my favs is the "structured with a splash of bright colour." All you need to find are items that have clear lines and are well tailored. The colour is anything you like as long as it is bright, vibrant and bold!
the second trend is the "updated cowboy." By adding a great leather hat, funky leggings or any type of fringes to any outfit, you can achieve this look.
The third trend is the "gym short/granny panties." This years version of the hot pants have become even shorter; think of your high school gym shorts and cut off 3" off of them. But if you are not comfortable in wearing these short short shorts out (like me), than show off this trend under a sheer maxi skirt like the Dolce & Gabbana look.

on a cold day you play in the snow to keep you warm

Its been a very cold winter so far and the snow keeps on falling; so what better way to get over the seasonal depression than to play in that fluffy snow that keeps on falling. I took advantage of this childhood act of mine in my moms front yard. Its nice to see fresh snow because when you live down town all you experience is slush and dirty brown snow.
This outfit is more like a uniform for me during the winter. I wear it when I am lazy and too cold to dress up. Every inch of this look keeps me warm :)

Outfit: Coat (Moncler), Pant (Uniqlo; purchased these amazing and comfy pants on my last trip to London...wish they open one up in Toronto soon!), Fur Boots (I forgot where I got these but they are handmade by First Nations People), Hat (Burberry; stolen from mommy), Scarf (DIY), Rings (Left to right; YSL, Topshop and gifted from my babe)

Afternoon tea and Harrods...look #3

On the third day of our stay we decided to do a traditional tea session with Miss Lisa at Athenaeum Hotel. It was really delicious...and I oh so missed British afternoon tea with the watercress sandwiches and the amazing pastries. Of course we than stopped by Harrods to do a little shopping. Well the trip is almost coming to an end and it is pretty sad...I don't really want to come back but need some reality very soon before I become a bum.

Outfit: Fur Coat (Vintage), Blazer (BB Dakota), Shoes (Mimosa), Hat (Big It Up)

London look #1

Finally arrived in London...it was a very long trip and we had some issues with the hotel. We were so delayed that our first meal in London was Micky D's...oh well tomorrow will be a better day!
This is my first outfit that I put together under my new rule for my erratic packing habits when travelling...you can read more here about what I plan to do for my whole trip. I styled this outfit to be comfortable and simple; there aren't many layers so you won't over heat when running around the airport but still stay chic and not frumpy.

Outfit: Jacket (Vintage), T-Shirt (Aria), Tights (American Apparel). shoes (Jeffery Campbell), Gloves (Mackage), Bag (Stella McCartney)
